Video Hosting Platform Vimeo (VMEO) Draws Elevated Call Buying into Test of Recent Lows
Vimeo (VMEO) trading more than 26.5X average calls today with buyers early in the November $30 calls, over 7,000X for $2.30 to $3.30 to open. VMEO is also seeing buyers in the January $35 calls and has smaller April $35 calls in OI from buyers in late Sept. Shares debuted in May and has yet to gain much momentum with shares forming a small double-bottom now around the August lows. A move above $34.50 and out of this current downtrend has room up to $45 and a big volume node from July. The $4.84B company operates an online video platform for users to upload, share, and watch videos with a subscription model versus the advertising model of peer YouTube. Wells Fargo starting coverage last week at Overweight as the company addresses a large and attractive opportunity in small- to mid-sized business and enterprise video software tools and currently occupies the pole position among paid solution providers. The firm thinks Vimeo’s strong positioning will support a robust multiyear top-line trajectory.
